Buy America, Buy American, and Domestic Manufacturing:
Strand Core have the capability to manufacture strand from .009” and wire rope up to 5/8” in diameter right in the USA at our Milton, Florida facility. As a result, our capability statement focuses on how Strand Core meets numerous standards such as Buy America and Buy American. What's Buy American?
Specific manufacturing outlines set out by Federal Government. For a wire product to qualify for Buy American, the wire must be manufactured in the USA, and the cost of domestic components must exceed 50% of the total cost. You may have noticed we also frequently use the terms "100% domestic" or "Buy America" when talking about our products. For wire rope to be called "100% domestic" or "Buy America", products are required to have been manufactured in the USA from components made in the USA, including the steel mill products. By looking at Strand Core’s Government sales page, you can further understand our domestic capabilities and the standards we meet.
Our Primary Areas of Support:
Our Government sales page has a primary areas of support section which focuses on our ability as a manufacturer to meet Military and Federal specifications. Strand Core is also a member of the Associated Wire Rope Fabricators Organization. We chose to highlight our CAGE and DUNS ID numbers because it makes it easy for those in Government sales to quickly discover what we are capable of as a manufacturer.
