Have you Seen Strand Core’s Technical Resources Page ? (Continued)

In our last blog post, we looked at three of the topics that can be found on our highly informative technical resources page. If you have yet to see our previous blog, you can check it out here. Today, we want to look at three more topics covered on our resource page that compiles useful information about wire rope products and how products perform in numerous applications. Continue reading to learn about three different categories that can be found on Strand Core's technical resources page.

Pulley and Sheave Radius Guides:

One of the most overlooked ways that help ensure you get the most out of your wire rope is by using the correct size pulleys and sheaves in applications. The general rule is that you should operate cable and wire rope over the largest possibly sheave or pulley diameter and that the cable is properly supported in the grooves. Our guide has a table with the minimum pulley and sheave tread diameters for numerous sizes and constructions of cable and wire rope products.

Recommended Bend Radius Guide:

Our bend radius guide provides insight into how much your cable or wire rope products will bend. The guide factors in the size of the rope product and the minimum size of the pulley that should be used to provide an approximate bend radius for numerous constructions.

Standard Points of Measure and Assembly Tolerances:

When it comes to measuring cable assemblies, certain standard points of measure should be used to determine the correct size you need. Our tolerances page provides visual details to show where you should measure your assembly and also a table that explains assembly length tolerances.
